Jason and I just got a new piano. We were inspired to start a family band when we were in Branson in July…Just a joke!! Jason really can play, of course, being the musical man that he is, and I, on the other hand, well…I’m trying to learn. I played Jingle Bells tonight on both the treble and bass clef. I’m pretty proud of myself, actually. I play at about 2 beats per minute, but it’s more than I could do yesterday! Anyway, check out the pics of our new instrument in the photo gallery…we’re really having fun with it!

Humility
I’m still reading Mere Christianity. This passage speaks for itself…I had to share it with you… “Today I come to that part of Christian morals where they differ most sharply from all other morals. There is one vice of which no man in the world is free; which every one in the world loathes when he sees it in someone else; and of which hardly any people, except Christians, ever imagine that they are guilty themselves….There is no fault which makes a man more unpopular, and no fault which we are more unconscious of in ourselves. And the more we have it ourselves, the more we dislike it in others. The vice I am talking of is Pride or Self-Conceit: and the virtue opposite to it, in Christian morals, is called Humility.”
It’s worth praying that the Lord might reveal our pride to us, so that we might do our best to rid of it. It’s also worth asking Him what true humility looks like. For the purpose of His glory…
