Since Jason and I have been married (almost 3 years), we have ordered pizza ONCE. Yes, I said once. And it wasn’t very good, so we haven’t ordered another since. If we want pizza, I usually buy a frozen Walmart-brand pizza for $3.99 and add my own toppings – lots of veggies! So this time I decided to take one step closer to making one homemade. Instead of buying a whole pizza, I bought a whole wheat pizza crust. I added the sauce, mozzarella, mushrooms, tomatoes, onions, and… SALAMI. I had some great salami from the Whole Foods market, and I thought to myself, “Hmmm… couldn’t be that different than pepperoni.” Well, it didn’t end well. That was NASTY! It didn’t taste anything like pepperoni. It made the whole pizza taste a bit like feet. So my advice to you today is this… Never put salami on a pizza.

Silly Casey. Homemade pizzas are sooo yummy. Try this: crust, sauce, mozzarella cheese, and really thinly sliced tomatoes. It’s really good!
