Stylin’ & Profilin’

When I met Jason, I thought “Wow, he’s extremely good-looking.  But we’d have to work on his wardrobe.”  Did any other wives (or husbands, for that matter) go through this?  At the beginning of our relationship, he was nice enough to go shopping with me and it turned out (by my own manipulation) to be a shopping spree for HIM!  I wasn’t the least bit concerned about buying stuff for myself at that time – IT’S TIME TO GET YOU UPDATED, BUDDY!  When we got married, guess who went through his stuff and gave A TON away to Good Will?  And guess whose clothes are probably still on the hangers at Good Will, because no one wants them?!  The funny part, to me, is that Jason was known for his great wardrobe in college.  When he had gone home for a weekend and went back to school earlier than planned, he arrived to find his roommate and another friend wearing his clothes (without permission… oops!). :)  I guess the comical part is that Jason graduated from college in 1995.  And he was wearing the same clothes when we met in December of 2003!!  I take that back… SOME of the clothes he had worn in college were just lingering around in his closet for no good reason.  He grew up in a family where you keep practically everything, just in case you need it again later (opposite from my family).  So… although we got rid of the stuff he had in his closet that was outdated, his mom has still kept some of it.  We went to see his parents this weekend and, for my viewing pleasure, he did a bit of modeling for me…

The other funny thing is that Jason’s dad seemed to think the v-neck sweater was “back in” since Roger Federer was wearing one after he lost at Wimbledon today… I’m not sure I agree.  First of all, the sweater is not one that he just picked up at J.Crew (10 years ago).  Second of all, the sweater has his own initials on it.  There’s no way that could be cool, even if you are Roger Federer.  I do think their long wavy hair looks similar, but I’m not sure this justifies keeping the sweater… ???

definitely DOES NOT justify the v-neck button down sweater. unless you design the initials “JP” and sew it on.

I about fell out of my chair. Good job Jason for actually putting the stuff on knowing it would end up being viewed by all of Casey’s friends. Ha! You know it inspires me to go through my own wardrobe challenged husband’s closet…I usually just stop him as he emerges from dressing and send him back. Just wait until he starts dressing your kids :)

Okay- seriously, us too! Josh still had size 30 waist silvertab jean shorts in his closet when we were dating- I mean, he packed those suckers up and moved them to his new place- what?! We had to fix his wardrobe and his hair…I still get the shivers sometimes…

Haha! Oh my gosh! HAHA!!! Jason you are the man! I agree, not even Mr. Federer should be wearing that sweater!

As a husband who is not “wardrobe challenged”, I would agree with almost all the clothing choices except the… oh never mind. The one that I thought was ok really looks like a soccer goalies shirt. (top right picture with orange, navy blue, school bus yellow, and cobalt blue.) Sorry Jason, I really really tried. And the v-neck looks like something from “Father Knows Best”. But if you ever want to go shopping with a dude, I would totally help you out! Love you dude!
