What’s in a name?

After much deliberation (and me shooting down Jason’s ridiculous suggestions, like Jagger, Archer, and, I think maybe Thor and Hulk), we have named our son.  He is Noah Jack.

Genesis 6:9 says, “Noah was a righteous man, blameless in his time; Noah walked with God.”  Aside from just loving the name Noah we are praying that, in his time, he will be found righteous.  Not “righteous” by the world’s terms but, rather, that his sincere faith would be seen through his life.  That he would walk closely with God and care for people.  That he would be like Christ, a man of COMPASSION, INTEGRITY, STRENGTH, GRACE, HONOR, AND PEACE (which is what the name Noah means – peaceable).

”Jack” is Jason’s middle name and also his dad’s name.  It is also the nickname of a personal hero & one of my favorite authors, C.S. Lewis.

We are so excited about Noah!  It’s only about 12 weeks now until we meet him… that’s too long for me! :)
